Who are the Bahá'ís?

The Bahá'ís are a group of like-minded folk—inspired by the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh (1817-1892)—who are dedicated, where ever they live, to the upliftment and advancement of community life.

The Bahá'ís wholeheartedly accept former Prophets and Teachers—like Krishna, Moses, Buddha, Christ, and Muhammad—as Light from a single Source, and assigned by Providence to educate and progress the life of humanity.

"Ye are the fruits of one tree, and the leaves of one branch. Deal ye one with another with the utmost love and harmony, with friendliness and fellowship. "

~ Bahá'u'lláh ~

About the films below

The two central figures of the Bahá'í Faith are known as The Báb and Bahá'u'lláh,  Arabic for "The Gate", and "The Glory of God", respectively.  The Báb heralded Bahá'u'lláh—similar to John the Baptist telling the people of the imminent coming of Christ—hence the name "The Gate". Bahá'ís consider Bahá'u'lláh to be the "Promised One" foretold by all of the previous religions, and all religions as chapters in an unfolding book progressing the spiritual life of humankind.

This year past (2019) was the bicentenary of the birth of the Báb. Below is a film, entitled Dawn of the Light, released by the Bahá'í community in commemoration of the life of this outstanding Figure.  A few years previously, in 2017, the Bahá'í community celebrated the two-hundredth anniversary of Bahá'u'lláh's birth, and at that time released the film "Light to the World".

Our sincere hope is that these films will be of interest to all lovers of justice, those of a poetic nature, the pure in heart, searchers after truth,  the spiritually inquisitive, those holding to hope, and indeed all living souls!
